TEAM I&C MET PRESIDENT ISLAMABAD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE AND INDUSTRY

Innovation and Commercialisation team visited Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) on Wednesday April 19, 2021. The team was warmly welcomed by Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, President ICCI. During the meeting, discussions were made on the possible collaboration avenues and the existing capabilities of NUST that can be beneficial to the local industry in Pakistan.

Some specific IT related projects were highlighted by the team and President showed keen interested in the further deliberation on these. In the context of discussing importance of bridging the gap between academia and industry, NUST team informed of their Corporate Advisory Council and its Sector Committees. President accepted to be part of these committees and agreed to join hands with NUST in meeting their vision of socio-economic development of the country.

Mr Ilyas has been taken as industry Co-Chair of Transformative Technology and Shared value Creation Sector Committee. Both parties are eager to expedite the collaboration activities between NUST and local industries of twin cities.
