DISCUSSIONS MADE ON NATIONAL LEVEL CYBERSECURITY AS DG FIA VISITED NUST

DG FIA Mr Sanaullah Abbasi and his team visited NUST on Sept 29, 2021. The delegation from Federal Investigation Agency – FIA met Pro Rector RIC, Dr Rizwan Riaz. Both parties discussed possible collaborations in the field of cybersecurity and data analytics.

The delegation also comprised of Dr Athar Waheed (PSP) – Director Academy, Mr Muhammad Jaffar (PSP) – Director Cyber Crime Wing, and Mr Masood Ali – Asst Director Cyber Crime & Forensic. They were briefed by Director I&C, NUST on possible avenues of collaboration.

Dr Haider Abbas from the NUST MCS presented an overview of the showcased technologies related to AI-based analytics and cybersecurity solutions developed indigenously at NUST.

DG FIA also visited a showcase of select NUST technologies and had interactive discussions with researchers.
