NUST CONTINUES TO MAKE STRIDES WITH ITS GLOBALLY IMPACTING RESEARCH AND INNOVATION AS U.S. EMBASSY PAKISTAN OFFICIALS MET I&C TEAM AT CAMPUS

As NUST continues to make strides with its globally impacting research and innovation, U.S. Embassy Pakistan officials visited Innovation & Commercialisation Directorate (I&C) at the university H-12, campus, on September 29, 2021, to discuss the areas of collaboration between the two.

Dr Rizwan Riaz (Pro-Rector RIC NUST), Director (I&C NUST), representatives from NUST IP Office and Corporate Advisory Council received a delegation from US Embassy.

The US Embassy delegation was led by Mr Daniel Froats (Economic Counselor) accompanied by Mr Phillip Assis (Deputy Cultural Affairs Officer), Ms Jane Park (Economic Officer IPR) and Mr Nasir Rao (Economist).

The broader agenda of this meeting was to develop collaboration with the US through its representatives in Pakistan for enhancing the bilateral partnership in industrial and R&D ventures. The parties agreed to support each other in promoting brand protection & entrepreneurial culture in the country.

Moreover, US Embassy agreed to support NUST for the upcoming National IP and Brand Protection Summit as well as in promoting women inventors and entrepreneurs through providing them various platforms to exhibit their work.
